  1. Thanks for the reply Philippe. I thought that might be the problem. Thank you for all the great work you are doing on this application. It gets better and better with every iteration. Tony.
  2. I'm having problems with 5.4.3 crashing on OSX Lion 10.7.5 when I try to install and start it. V 5.3.7 is running with no problems. I copied the Maps directory over from 5.3.7 before trying to start the update but it still fails to start. I have installed 5.4.3 on a newer MacBookPro running OSX El Capitan 10.11.6 with no problem. Is there a compatibility issue with the new update and Lion 10.7.5 ? Has anyone got this combination to work or can offer any suggestions?
  3. Thanks sbs. So if I select the VBVMG option with a WP of my choice the boat will sail itself there including tacking (for example if I am away for a few days and can't check in) ?
  4. Hi All, It has been a while since I last raced here. Can someone remind me what VBVMG and VMG for VLM are ? Many thanks, Tony
  5. Thanks everyone .... I thought the WPH was to do with Hours not Heading. I get it now!
  6. How do I schedule an event to happen when a waypoint is reached when I do not know what time I will arrive at that waypoint? Is it possible to do this? For example ... I will be away for a week with no internet access when my boat should make a turn round a race mark. (Noronha in the VOR leg 6) So I want to set a waypoint near the racemark so that when that waypoint is reached the boat will start sailing towards another waypoint. But I do not know exactly when the boat will arrive so do not understand how to set up the time field in the schedule event window. Also ... what is the @WPH data entry field? Appreciate any help understanding how this works.
  7. Now the logo is perfect!! Nice work guys .... also love the green shading to remind me whether I had set CC or CWA command! Thanks to the development team for providing me with many enjoyable hours of entertainment!
  8. Just happened to be rounding Cape Horn in the Volvo race when the new look GUI appeared .... Love the new layout, hate the logo placed on the chart, as it obscures info .... such as the Cape Horn waypoint info, Sneaky Islands to avoid and wind arrows ... especially when zoomed in. The logo itself is great ... just don't like it on the chart. Can it be smaller, scale with the zoom or perhaps transparent?
  9. The problem resolved itself when the race started. As soon as the start happened and I refreshed the compass appeared. No problems since then. Thanks for the reply.
  10. Hi, I am preparing for the start of Leg 4 VOR but am not seeing a compass centred on my boat when I select 'display map'. I have these option selected: Centred on 'my boat' Wind layers 'separate' Tools on map 'compass' Boats on map 'only me' Map size 1024x640 Wind grid 3 estime 96 track aging 84 zoom 12 I have tried every variation of these settings I can think of and am able to get a 'floating compass' but not the usual compass centred on my boat. Can anyone help?
  11. Thanks ... got it now.
  12. Hi, I am having trouble figuring out how to enter waypoints. Just typing the values into the boxes doesn't seem to work as the minutes seem to become the degrees. Have been trying to enter the northern Horn waypoint. Would greatly appreciate any help.
